As Big as a Fig

fun facts at 11 weeks: the baby's hands will soon open and close into fists, tiny tooth buds are beginning to appear under her gums, and some of the bones are beginning to harden. the baby's already busy kicking and stretching, and tiny movements are so effortless they look like water ballet. the limbs can bend now. the hands are flexed at the wrist and meet over the heart, and the feet may be long enough to meet in front of the body. The outline of the spine is clearly visible through translucent skin, and spinal nerves are beginning to stretch out from his spinal cord. the forehead temporarily bulges with his developing brain and sits very high on his head, which measures half the length of the body.
