everything is going according to plan. i'm feeling great, measuring perfectly, and gaining weight right on target. the baby is also gaining weight. at 11 inches long, the length of a spaghetti squash, and almost 1 pound, our baby is starting to look like a miniature newborn. the lips, eyelids, and eyebrows are becoming more distinct, and it's even developing tiny tooth buds beneath it's gums. the eyes have formed, but the irises still lack pigment. if we could see inside my womb, we'd be able to spot the fine hair that covers the body and the deep wrinkles on it's skin, which will be present until the baby adds a padding of fat to fill them in. if our baby takes after jon and i, it's sure to be a chubby one!
